Meet the designer
aka an adequate poet
Hi, I’m Carina—your designer, developer, and the heart behind Moderately Poetic Studio. With three years of experience as a product designer, I’ve now turned my focus to building brands and websites that inspire and connect.
Together, we’ll bring your vision to life in a way that feels both authentic and inviting.
Connection
Moderately Poetic Studio was created with genuine connection at its heart. I want your clients to feel drawn to your online presence, for you to feel deeply connected to your brand identity, and for us to build a collaborative, creative bond as we bring your vision to life.
Timeless design
Your website and branding deserve to feel timeless and ready to grow with you. Together, we’ll craft a brand that reflects your essence, one that remains relevant and adaptable for years to come as your business evolves.
Feeling like home
You spend every day with your brand—it should feel like home. I want it to inspire you, fuel your passion, and support your goals. This brand will be a true extension of yourself, crafted with purpose and warmth to resonate deeply with you and those you connect with.

I’m Carina Alempi
I didn’t always know I’d be a designer—I thought I’d be a writer. But life led me down a different path. In 2019, I discovered UX/UI design, taught myself the skills while balancing college and waitressing, and landed an internship that grew into a full-time role. Three years in, I knew I needed something more creative, something that felt like me. So I left the 9-to-5 to create a career that feels true to my heart.
Moderately Poetic Studio was born from this journey. When I first started freelancing, I tried to shape my business to match others, convinced that a brand should be separate from yourself. But even after a redesign, I felt disconnected from my work. That’s when it clicked—my brand needed to reflect my own personality and values, not just what I saw around me. Now, this heart-led studio is all about bringing that same authenticity to you.
